According to Nandani order today Sanskruti and Ishita will have their first rasoi. And tomorrow Ruhi and Kiara will have their first rasoi. Reception will be held in the evening.
After getting ready Ruhi came down. She was wearing a light blue anarkali with matching earrings, bangles and mangalsutra in her neck. She came down but now she didn’t know where to go, where she should be present. She was puzzled by this but soon she saw Sanskruti and approached her.
Sanskruti: Good morning!
Sanskruti said with a smile when she saw her. She was wearing a light pink anarkali with matching earrings, bangles and mangalsutra.
Ruhi: Good morning!
Sanskruti: We haven’t met properly, let me introduce myself. Hi! I’m Sanskruti Sharma.
Sanskruti forwarded her hand for a handshake. Ruhi smiled and shook her hand.
Ruhi: Hello! I’m Ruhi Thakur.
They started talking randomly when Saumya saw them and came toward them.
Saumya: You both came? Why are you standing here?
Sanskruti: We don’t know where to go.
Saumya: Oh okay. Where are the remaining two?
Sanskruti looked at Ruhi like she was asking if she knew. Ruhi gave a look saying she didn’t know.
Sanskruti: We don’t know.
Saumya: It’s your first day with each other and you both already started understanding things.
By her tone it was hard to understand what she meant. They didn’t want to judge her in one meeting, so they both just gave her a small smile.
Meegha: Pooja is about to start. Where are Ishita and Kiara?
Meegha said seeing Sanskruti and Ruhi already there.
Saumya: Send someone to check.
Saumya had just said this when they saw Kiara coming. Kiara was wearing a green suit with matching earrings, bangles and mangalsutra in her neck.
Saumya: Good, one is here.
Not knowing what they were talking about, Kiara just looked at them.
Meegha: Where is Ishita?
Kiara: I don’t know.
Saumya: Meegha, how would she know?
Meegha: Look, she is here.
She said seeing Ishita coming. Ishita was wearing a yellow suit with matching earrings and bangles.
Meegha: Where were you?
Ishita: I didn’t know where to come, so I was asking someone.
Saumya: Leave it. Let’s go for pooja.
They all went to the mandir area inside the bungalow.
Meanwhile:
After waking up, the first thought that came into all the heirs’ minds was, “Where is she? Where did she sleep?” But they cared less. Shrugging it off, they went to take a bath.
Now all the Oberois were present for pooja, including the brides too.
The pooja was about to start when a relative spoke.
Relative: Why does none of your daughters-in-law have sindoor in their maang?
Seeing all four of them without sindoor in their maang, Saumya and Meegha got angry, but Nandani tried to cover things up.
Nandani: I told them.
Relative: Why?
Nandani: Because I want their husbands to put sindoor in their maang in the mandir.
The four heirs looked at Nandani, knowing she was trying to cover things because she didn’t want their image to be affected. Not continuing further, the relative shut her mouth.
Nandani: Let’s continue. Suraj beta, put sindoor in Sanskruti’s maang.
Nandani said, forwarding the sindoor. Suraj looked at Sanskruti. Their eyes met for a second and Sanskruti looked away.
Suraj came in front of Sanskruti, took the sindoor and put it in her maang. This whole time Sanskruti didn’t look at him. After finishing, Suraj moved back to his place.
Nandani: Good. Now Daksh beta, it’s your turn.
Daksh took steps toward Ishita.
Daksh (in mind): Oh God, where is her mangalsutra?
Daksh knew very well it would create a mess if any relatives saw it. Grabbing her hand, he started taking her toward their room. Everyone was shocked.
Coming into the room, Daksh pinned Ishita to the wall.
Daksh: Where is your mangalsutra?
He said calmly, which was completely opposite to his action.
Ishita understood everything. She tried to move but Daksh didn’t let her go.
Daksh: Didn’t I tell you not to do such things which will affect our image?
Ishita rolled her eyes at his statement, which triggered him more. Daksh grabbed Ishita by her shoulders and pulled her closer.
Daksh: I feel like doing the same thing with you which you do with your eyes.
Ishita jerked his hand away, moved to her luggage, took out the mangalsutra and wore it.
Ishita: Happy?
She said with an annoyed face.
Daksh: Let’s go.
He said in a cold tone.
Everyone was waiting for Daksh and Ishita. Soon they came back.
Nandani: Now put sindoor, Daksh.
Taking the sindoor, Daksh put it in her maang and went back to his place.
Nandani: Come, Vivan beta. It’s your turn.
Vivan came toward Ruhi and put sindoor in her maang without saying anything. Then he returned to his place.
Ruhi (in mind): Finished? Really?
Ruhi was surprised.
Nandani: Good. Aditya beta, you’re the last.
Aditya came with a playful smile which everyone noticed.
Oberois (in mind): Please don’t do something nonsense.
Standing in front of Kiara, Aditya took the sindoor and put it in her maang. Not only in her maang, he also shook some sindoor on her face.
Everyone laughed a little. Kiara felt humiliated but she didn’t say anything.
Nandani: Let’s start the pooja.
The pooja started. One by one, every couple did the aarti. During the aarti nothing happened between the new couples, which made the Oberois feel relieved.
After the pooja, Nandani said:
Nandani: Now all daughters-in-law will touch their husbands’ feet.
They didn’t want to do it.
For Sanskruti, she couldn’t touch the feet of a person like Suraj. For Ishita, her ego didn’t allow her. For Ruhi, it didn’t matter much. For Kiara, her self-respect stopped her.
Having no other option, they stood in front of their husbands. The girls looked at their husbands like they would kill them today, while their husbands had proud looks on their faces.
After touching their husbands’ feet, the girls came back to their places.
During rasoi:
Nandani: Sanskruti, you will make lunch. Ishita, you will make some desserts. Ruhi and Kiara, you will come with us.
Soon everyone left, leaving Sanskruti and Ishita alone.
Ishita: How about an intro?
She said, forwarding her hand.
Sanskruti smiled and shook her hand.
Sanskruti: Yeah, we haven’t met properly. Hi! I’m Sanskruti Sharma.
Ishita: Wow, someone is here.
She said in a dramatic way.
Ishita: Hi! I’m Ishita Arora.
Sanskruti understood she was talking about the surname. They started cooking while chit-chatting.
Meanwhile at hall:
Meegha: Kiara, go and bring me some chai.
Meegha ordered. Nodding, Kiara went to bring tea.
Kiara: Here, aunty.
Anger rushed through Meegha’s body the moment she heard that word. Meegha started scolding Kiara, while Kiara had no idea why she suddenly got angry. Ruhi remained silent, trying to avoid the argument.
Seeing the situation, Saumya took Ruhi, Kiara, and Meegha to a room to avoid the relatives.
Hearing the raised voices, Nandani came into the room.
Nandani: What happened? Keep your voice low, Meegha. Don’t you know we have guests in the house?
Meegha kept quiet.
Nandani: What happened?
Nandani asked again.
Saumya: I don’t know. Meegha is scolding Kiara.
Nandani: What happened, Kiara?
Kiara: I don’t know either.
With this, she started telling everything that happened. Hearing her, Nandani and Saumya understood the matter.
Nandani: You’re angry because Kiara called you aunty?
Meegha nodded. Sighing, Nandani said,
Nandani: Follow me.
Following Nandani, everyone went to the kitchen.
Nandani: All daughters-in-law, stand in a line.
Hearing her, all four of them stood in a line.
Nandani: Do any of you know who we are, how we are related to you, and what our bond is?
All four shook their heads. Nandani looked at Meegha, but Meegha looked away, not accepting that it was her mistake.
Nandani: Sanskruti and Ruhi, this is your mother-in-law, Saumya, and the mother of your husbands. Ishita and Kiara, this is your mother-in-law, Meegha, and the mother of your husbands. I’m your husbands’ grandmother, Nandani. About the men, I’ll tell you later.
Nandani: Sanskruti and Ishita, you both continue. We will leave now.
Saying this, they all left.
Ishita: What happened?
Sanskruti: I think Kiara did something.
Ishita: How do you know?
Sanskruti: I’m guessing, because Ruhi isn’t someone who would make a fuss on her first day.
Ishita: How can you say that?
Sanskruti: I met her earlier.
After some time, Meegha and Saumya came back.
Saumya: Are you both done?
Sanskruti & Ishita: Yes.
Meegha: Did you pack lunch for your husbands?
Sanskruti and Ishita looked at her in confusion.
Saumya: Meegha, stop with your nonsense. It’s their first day. They don’t know the rules and regulations of this house.
Sighing, Saumya continued,
Saumya: I’ll tell you the rules and regulations later. First, pack four lunches. The driver will come to take them.
After packing the lunches, they all had lunch together with the family. Later, all four daughters-in-law sat together as Saumya was about to explain the rules of the house.
Saumya: It’s not in sequence-wise order. I’m telling you as I remember.
Rule no. 1 – Food will be made by Oberoi’s only. Oberoi’s don’t eat food made by maids or other servants.
Rule no. 2 – For the people who are working, they will have homemade lunch only.
Rule no. 3 – Women are not allowed to have dinner without their husbands.
Rule no. 4 – Don’t do anything that will affect the Oberois’ image.
Rule no. 5 – You’re not allowed to do any type of intoxication.
Saumya: These are the major rules. Slowly, you’ll get to know all the rules and regulations of this house.
They didn’t like any of the rules, but all the wives especially disliked rule no. 3.
Saumya: Now go and get ready for the reception.
Reception looks:
Sanskruti wore a rich brown silk saree with subtle golden undertones, perfectly matching Suraj’s deep chocolate-brown bandhgala with antique gold buttons. The muted, earthy shades made them look like a dignified, traditional couple from a distance—bound by rituals, not emotions. Her saree had a classic drape, paired with a matching blouse. Her hair was styled in a low bun with gajra, minimal makeup, and gold jhumkas. She looked composed and restrained, mirroring Suraj’s cold, authoritative presence.
Ishita chose a marble green saree with a sleek, luxurious fall, complementing Daksh’s dark green tailored suit with subtle black detailing. Together, they looked sharp and powerful—more like rivals than partners. Her fitted blouse, bold eye makeup, nude lips, and statement choker amplified her confident aura. The color harmony highlighted their intimacy.
Ruhi wore a light brown organza saree, its airy fabric lending her a soft, understated elegance. The delicate sheen of the fabric caught the light subtly, enhancing the warmth of the neutral shade. Draped effortlessly, it gave her a graceful, almost ethereal presence—quiet yet impossible to overlook. Paired with a simple, well-fitted blouse and minimal jewelry, her beauty felt natural and unforced.
Beside her stood her husband, dressed in a tailored suit in a complementary shade of beige, crisp and refined without being overpowering. The clean lines of his suit balanced the fluid softness of Ruhi’s saree, creating a look of effortless harmony. Together, they appeared poised and composed—a couple defined by quiet confidence and understated elegance.
Kiara wore a soft pastel saree with a fluid, graceful drape that highlighted her delicate yet confident presence. The gentle hues enhanced her natural glow, while subtle makeup and elegant accessories kept her look refined and fresh rather than overpowering.
Beside her, her husband stood in a sharply tailored suit in a complementary tone, adding a sense of structure and poise. Together, they appeared balanced and polished—a modern couple whose quiet coordination spoke of ease, confidence, and understated charm.
All were present at the venue except the four heirs. They had informed that they would arrive directly, occupied with their work. Once they arrived, the function finally began.
For the brides, the reception felt painfully dull. The four couples barely exchanged a word throughout the entire evening, sitting together yet wrapped in silence.
When the function came to an end, everyone returned to their respective homes.
